Family Support

When Parents are happy and supported they are in the best position to be emotionally available to their children. This helps develop a strong secure bond which will encourage mental and emotional well-being. Sound emotional health and communication help maintain supportive relationships between parents and older children when a newborn joins the family helping the couple overcome the challenges of adjusting to the reality of life whilst extending the family unit.

Are you struggling with your child’s developmental needs or have you noticed a new challenging behaviour? Would you like to learn methods and strategies that will help you deal with your child’s needs?

Often, Parents find parenting challenging, not knowing where to start or how to cope with their child’s behaviour. In my work with Parents, I explore their parenting style and psychoeducate on the four common parenting styles of clinical psychologist Diana Baumrind. Exploring parenting styles helps Parents understand personality and how much their own behaviour and beliefs shape that of their children. Parenting is like a smoothie – you get what you put in.

At SOPHROSYNA, I can help you recognise the different stages of development and how to prepare for the challenges as well as build a healthy personality.
